Another wonderful set of antique skis. These Maple Northland skis are beautiful and in excellent condition. 1930s shaped tips. Decorator-wise - these are the "expert level". They also have very decorative boot pads, original labels, leather bindings and a beautiful patina that only comes with time.
Northland Ski Manufacturing Company was founded as the C. A. Lund Company in Hastings, Minnesota by Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund back in 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured in Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Northland was the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
