Physical damages such as holes, tears, rips, loose stitching, and staining are often found. Fair items are valued for function over form. 
 
With this item, the following damages were observed: 

• These boots are 1980s-1990s vintage, and as such have visible age-related wear. Damages include some fraying and loose threads, stains, faded SOREL logos, and aged felt with some pilling. Other damages include a broken drawcord cinch and a small gash in the toe of the left boot, but the outsole isn’t pierced. However these boots are in remarkably fair condition for their age, and would make a fine addition to a winter wardrobe.
