Men's Microlight Vest

Made using 110g/750 fill hydrophobic european goose down wrapped in a Pertex Microlight shell, the Rab Microlight Vest is a very useful mid or outer layer that's ideal for all fast and light activities in wintry conditions.

Its Pertex Microlight outer fabric is tough, abrasion resistant, and able t oshrug off wind and light rain, while the nylon inner keeps you drier and more comfortable. Narrow baffling prevents the goose down fill from spreading or bunching, ensuring better warmth all round.

Rab's fluorocarbon free Hydrophobic Down is their usual high quality European down, but treated with a water-repelling coating so it's more water resistant and will maintain its loft. It performs more effectively in damp conditions than untreated down - it absorbs less water, dries faster, retains loft and is fluorocarbon free.

The Microlight vest boasts 2 zipped hand-warmer pockets and a zipped chest pocket, with an insulated zip baffle to further minimise heat loss. The whole gilet can be packed away into the supplied stuff sack (in some older versions it stuffs into its own pocket) for easy storage or to make a usable pillow.
