The Matterhorn I-Beam is a robust men's 8-inch composite toe work boot bolstered by puncture-resistance and an internal metguard for superior protection on the job. A non-metallic puncture-resistant insole prevents sharp debris like nails and glass from piercing the bottom and inflicting injury, in addition to a composite safety toe with a Matterhorn TigerTip that provides lightweight and flexible impact protection with an extra barrier for kicking and climbing, and a D30 winged internal metguard. Unlike traditional, unsightly metguards that sit on the outside of the boot and are super rigid allowing for little to no foot flex, the D30 internal metguard featured on this work boot is softer, more pliable, and low-profile. This delivers more flexibility while retaining top-shelf protection from falling objects to the sensitive bones that make up the top of your feet. The I-Beam is also stands up to wet weather on the jobsite, due to a waterproof breathable membrane that keeps water out while allowing moisture to escape, keeping your feet dry and comfortable and helping to prevent heat blisters. The top is built of tough brown leather with saline-resistance, which helps to reduce damage associated with salt build-up from ice-melting solutions and other saline-based chemicals, as well as corroding minerals that may be present during quarry, mining, and masonry work. This durable design is bolstered by a welt construction, meaning the outsole is stitched to the upper rather than glued, and ensuring that the I-Beam survives the test of time thanks to the option for multiple outsole replacements and reduced risk of separation from the upper.
