The Matterhorn I-Beam is a rugged men's 6-inch composite toe work boot with a rock-solid construction, puncture resistance, and an internal metguard for increased workplace protection. The I-Beam is built to last, with a tough brown leather exterior that boasts saline-resistance, which helps to prevent damage to material due to salt build-up from ice-melting solutions and other saline-based chemicals, as well as corroding minerals present in quarry, mining, and masonry work. This durable design is bolstered by a welt construction that features the outsole stitched to the upper rather than glued, providing the option to replace the outsole many times to extend the boot's total life. The composite safety toe combined with a Matterhorn Tigertip on this mid-height work boot provides lightweight and flexible impact protection that won't conduct heat, cold, or electricity, in addition to an extra barrier of protection when kicking or climbing. A non-metallic puncture-resistant outsole also helps to prevent sharp things such as nails, glass, and metal edges from piercing the boot and inflicting underfoot injury, while also being lighter and more movement-friendly than typical PR plates. Rounding out the trifecta of protection features on this work is a D30 winged internal metguard, which delivers a higher degree of flexibility compared to traditional metguards that are more rigid, while still offering protection to the sensitive bones that make up the top of your foot from falling objects.
