What is Buffalo Grain leather?
Buffalo Grain is a textured pebble grain finish on full-grain water buffalo hide. The natural surface texture is more pronounced than smooth leather, giving each piece a unique grain pattern. The finish develops a richer patina with use and is the signature of BJ's limited edition Buffalo Grain collection.
How is this different from the standard Maverick?
The standard Maverick is lambskin leather. This Limited Edition is full-grain water buffalo leather with a Buffalo Grain finish. Water buffalo is heavier, more durable, and develops a different patina than lambskin. The silhouette, sherpa collar, and ribbed cuffs are the same. The material upgrade is the entire reason this LE exists.
Is the buffalo leather softer or stiffer than lambskin?
Stiffer initially. Water buffalo leather is thicker and more substantial than lambskin, which means it takes a few weeks of wear to break in. Once broken in, it stays soft and conforms to your body. The tradeoff for the slower break-in is significantly longer wear life.
Is the sherpa collar removable?
Yes. It buttons on and off. Same detachable sherpa collar as the standard Maverick.

What's the warranty?
A one year warranty covers stitching, hardware, and structural defects. Normal patina and wear marks are part of how the product is meant to age and are not defects.
