These Gen 3 ECWCS thermal pants in AR670-1 coyote brown offer the durability and warmth you need out of a baselayer to brave the cold weather months. The third generation of the ECWCS is known as the "Extreme Climate Warfighter Clothing System", and is the most recently used by the United States Armed Forces. This radical design of the system consists of seven layers designed to provide environmental protection in temperatures ranging from -60/+40 degrees Fahrenheit. These thermal pants comprise Level 1.
The pants are made of expedition weight polyester, which is recommended for low activity in below freezing conditions such as shoveling snow, ice fishing or hunting. A soft fleece lining feels great against your skin, and offers natural temperature-regulating benefits that keep you warm without letting you overheat.
