Beautiful, ornate electroplated nickel silver (EPNS) belt circa 1900s. I have seen these often referred to as "nurse's belts" though I have not personally been able to find the source of this information.
This one is a bit of a unique design, as each belt link in the chain has a really lovely Art Nouveau flower design!
You can easily hang a chatelaine from this belt, which makes it both lovely and utilitarian.
The clasp is in the front. It is marked EPNS on each chain link.
Shown with an 1890s wrapper dress, which is also available in the shop.
