Beautiful black silk faille bodice circa 1890s with large gigot, leg o' mutton, or balloon sleeves.
Boned inner lining. Hook and eye closures down the center front with ruffles along the edges. Soutache / cord trimming down the front and on the cuffs. Tails in the back!
A very cute piece, and wonderfully preserved. Would make an excellent display, inspiration, or study piece, but also is wearable with care.

Lovely condition overall with a few small flaws to note:
- A bit dusty from storage, but no strong odors
- Some repairs to the back, as shown

- A bit of trim missing from the collar
